A few weeks ago I was on a Skype call with my mother and she mentioned that a friend would be coming up to the UK and she wanted to send me a care package with a few goodies from back home. She asked me to draw up a list and I immediately started asking her for packets of chips and chocolates and then my I remembered something that I desperately wanted to try out.
A few weeks after I left South Africa, Sorbet had a launch of a whole new range of skin care – which included their rechargeable skin cleanser. Since I couldn’t make the event due to my new home location, I had to turn down the invite to attend the launch and have had serious FOMO ever since. When my mom asked me if she could get me anything in particular I asked her to pick me up the facial cleanser and she happily obliged.
When I received it last week I did a little happy dance and couldn’t wait until I could get home and test it out.
The sorbet rechargeable cleanser removes dirt from pores much more effectively and gently than that of normal cleansing. The fine exfoliating bristles ensure deeper cleansing and gently remove dead skin cells, revealing brighter, more youthful looking skin. This ensures that subsequent face creams or serums are also absorbed better into the skin.
The cleanser is fully water-resistant which makes it safe to use and store in the bathroom. It comes with 3 different heads (a daily cleansing brush, the exfoliating brush (with fine tapered bristles) and a silicone brush head for extra delicate skin). I have found that I tend to use the daily cleansing brush every evening after doing a pre-cleanse to remove the bulk of my makeup and then I use the silicone brush head in the morning. I have only used the exfoliating brush once so far and I reckon I will only use it once a week.
I love that the cleanser comes with a USB charger which makes it easy enough to charge – no need to worry about batteries. A single charge will also last you for around an hour of usage. It has two operating speeds and has a dual direction rotation option to ensure that you really do get a better cleanse.
Overall, I am absolutely in love with this product and am now trying to figure out how to get some additional brush heads.
